Representative Diane Russell is sponsoring this bill that takes a truly comprehensive approach to legalizing the good leaf by taxing and regulating marijuana, expanding the existing provisions for people providing and under medical care, along with lifting all restrictions on industrial hemp farming. Yes, you heard correctly. Lift ALL current sanctions against industrial hemp farming. If all goes well, Maine could truly help spearhead the cannabis reform movement by setting an example of non-medicinal benefits of the legalization of marijuana.
